Blackout is an initiative of the SYDNEY INSTITUTE OF FILM ACADEMY at Randwick TAFE, under the direction of Billy Marshall Stoneking. It involves a radical new approach to Screen & Media Studies that enables educational institutions and film schools to offer a viable career pathway to their students that affords viable opportunities for making both short and long-form drama.  Blackout is the first feature to be made at Randwick, and will soon be followed up with a second feature entitled Australian Spring. That project is in pre-production as of this writing (November, 2014). A third project is currently in script development.

Executive producers of the programme are Bernie Zelvis and Billy Marshall Stoneking.

Mentors are Peter Millyn and Michael Park.
